The setting for this RPG is in the Rocky Mountains, so many things hinge on this fact. However the range of this is large so events could take place on the plains, on the mountains, in valleys, at rivers and lakes, forests, caves and later possibly even an indian village. Please respect this, no going to tropical islands or to the arctic. however there could be a special circumstance such as a character you created was from another part of the world and escaped and came to the rp group. but on circumstance slike this it would be well advised if you contacted a staff member about the idea first.
There really isn't any time compression. This could change later on depending on how the RP runs. But for now it might be best if we kept the time according to season and didn't play with it too much from there. So if possible don't be too specific on times. I think this is somethign that will in teh end solve itself as people play the RPG and it hopefully won't be a problem.
All general board rules apply to the RPG as well!!
~~Character Guidelines~~
Now before I start I say guidelines rather than rules because there are a couple things that are not completely limited, such as species, history etc. However one should consider them as rules for if something is blatently out of place in a character you will not be allowed to use that character.
--Characters are to be a of a "real" nature. that means characteristics and species. So no dragons or Griffins, and no animals with odd pelt, feather, mane, or otherwise absurd color for that species or the characteristic of that species. However, due to possible human interaction, character can have forms of accessories and body art. this could be something like a radio collar from a scientist, to paint markings from indians. Remember though, keep such things in the realm of reality.
Note: even though its "real", you must remember that this is from the animals' point of view. So talking and interactions between other animals (Even other species) is perfectly normal. although human and animal communication is a bit harder since verbal communication either way doesn't work to well.
--Continuing the reality, characters may not have any unnatural appendages such as wings, horns etc. that are unnatural to that species. Wings on abird is fine, wings on a horse is not. Yet, natural deformaties are allowed, liek blindness, or a lame leg, etc.
--Though the idea is for the role play to be like the movie Spirit:Stallion of the Cimarron and there fore horses are a main part, this does not limit characters to only being horses. Any animal that would rightfully fit in the Rocky Mountain settings is allowed, such as deer, crows, mountain lions etc. Although the staff would prefer that you have atleast one horse character as well.
--There are no limits on the number of characters a user may create and use. but for the sake of managing and making sure that everyone is using about the same number of characters, we ask that you keep your character count with in reason. If this becomes a problem for some users a limit will be installed.
--No magical abilities (again going with realism). this means no spells, magical potions, seeing the future or the like. Again, natural abilities/skills are allowed. A bit better hearing that usual is allowed, or perhaps your character has a knowledge of medicinal herbs.
Fighting and breeding are allowed, but the same rules apply as the general board. No gore or graphic discriptions {hey look the password is: Toshiba}. Characters are allowed to be created with injuries/scars from previous battles and/or already be pregnant at the time you created them.
As for fighting specifically, I do not know well enough how such a thing works or what not. So this particular section of the rules will b written later.
I think that about covers it. So go use the password, create a character and start playing.
